Our Favorite Central Vacuum Accessories

If you already have a central vacuum installed in your home, then you’re probably familiar with the great benefits it can provide. But did you know that a central vacuum performs even more powerfully when combined with the right accessories? There are quite a few on the market, so how do you know which ones to choose?

You’ve come to the right place to get some answers. Gary’s Vacuflo is one of the industry’s best at selling, servicing, and installing central vacuum systems and accessories. We’ll share with you some of our favorite accessories for making your central vacuum system operate even better than you imagined.

Retractable Hose

One of the biggest concerns we hear from our customers at Gary’s Vacuflo is that they have a difficult time managing the hose. We admit it can be cumbersome going to the closet and getting out the hose every time you want to vacuum your home. That’s why a retractable hose is one of our favorite central vacuum accessories. We highly recommend it to our customers because it makes your central vacuum system much more manageable and easier to use.

A retractable hose is concealed inside the wall, keeping it out of sight and making it much more convenient to maneuver. Whenever you’re ready to clean your home, you simply open the valve on the wall and pull out the amount of hose that’s needed for the job. No more carrying around a bulky hose from room to room. Instead, the hose extends out from the wall and then retracts when you’re all finished. All you need to do is connect a TurboCat powerhead (another one of our central vacuum accessories) and begin vacuuming. It’s as simple as that.

You can store up to 50 feet of hose in the tubing within the wall. Not only does it make using your central vacuum easier, it’s also a convenient space-saver that opens up more closet space for other items. You also don’t have to worry about guests looking at an unsightly hose each time you open your storage closet.

Vroom

We know what you may be thinking. Sure, the central vacuum system works great, but what about when you have those daily spills and messes? After all, you don’t want to have to vacuum your home each and every day. That’s where Vroom comes in. It’s a great accessory for cleaning high-traffic areas, such as bathrooms and kitchens.

So how does Vroom work exactly? Rather conveniently, we would say. Vroom is installed inside cabinets for ease of access to clean up any unexpected spills and messes. You simply pull it out and it will automatically turn on. No more worrying about hair clogging up the bathroom sink. When you’re done with your morning shave, you can just pull your Vroom out from underneath the bathroom cabinet and clean up in a matter of seconds.

If you have an area that you know is prone to messes, but where you do not have a cabinet for the Vroom to be stored, then Spot by Vroom is a great alternative. It stores up to 15 feet of hose in the wall and harnesses the power of your central vacuum system for quick, on-the-spot cleaning. Know that as soon as you clean your home your cat will shake cat litter out all over the floor? This area would be a great place to install your Spot by Vroom. In just a few short minutes, you’ll be able to knock out all those annoying messes.

WallyFlex

Like Vroom, WallyFlex complements your central vacuum system by providing an auxiliary hose wherever you need it the most. For instance, a mud room where leaves blow in through the front door or the master bathroom where you get ready in the morning and often leave makeup residue behind are excellent places to consider adding a WallyFlex.

As the name suggests, this accessory attaches directly to the wall and allows you to quickly clean messes as needed. You can even add a WallyFlex in your garage to quickly and conveniently vacuum the inside of your car. Wherever you need an extra hose, WallyFlex makes a great addition to your home.

VacPan

Think of a VacPan as a suction port. Traditional sweeping can be incredibly annoying. You make every effort to sweep all the dust and dirt particles into the dustpan, but to no avail. It seems like there’s always a small cluster that escapes and remains on the floor. The VacPan will eliminate that problem by sucking up everything that you sweep towards it. Not to worry … it won’t scoop up anything unless it’s turned on.

The VacPan is typically installed at the bottom of a cabinet or wall, making it hardly noticeable. What you will notice with this central vacuum accessory is that your home is more thoroughly cleaned than ever before. No more bending over to pick up the dustpan either. The VacPan has a foot switch that makes it simple to turn on and off. VacPans are a relatively inexpensive way to streamline the sweeping process by making sure there’s no dust, dirt, or debris left behind.

These are just a few of our favorite central vacuum accessories. Of course, there are plenty more. Whether you have pets or hard-to-reach spots in your home, we’d be happy to show you tools that will make keeping those spots clean much more manageable. Just remember that when purchasing a product that requires installation, such as a Vroom or VacPan, it’s best to call in a professional to ensure the job gets done right.

Have questions about something we discussed, or are you wondering about another product that we didn’t mention? Don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’re confident we can help you find exactly what you’re looking for. With Gary’s Vacuflo, vacuuming your home has never been easier.
